ABOUT PATRICE
Patrice Carey Hale writes romance and romantasy books. She focuses on clean (but still swoony!) content for upper young adult and younger new adult readers, celebrating first love and newfound independence while exploring themes like leadership, self-care, and family relationships.

While she grew up in Utah, Patrice currently lives in Georgia, where she enjoys frolicking with fireflies and wearing summer clothes ALL YEAR LONG. She's been to 22 countries and 37 states, she can talk your ear off about figure skating, and she spends exorbitant amounts of time outside. She's got a ridiculous husband to have ridiculously awesome adventures with, and they have a corgi named Watney.

Patrice holds a BA in English and editing and is a member of the Hot Mess Writers Club, a critique group for YA and MG authors. Her new adult romance (Smiles, Boyfriends, and Other White Lies) was awarded Honorable Mention in the Utah Original Writing Competition (2017), her young adult romance (Once Upon A Road Trip) was a finalist in the #PitchMe competition (2022), and her young adult romantasy (Knife and Shell) was shortlisted for a mentorship in the #RevPit competition (2024).
