Book Club Questions
Lara Jean and Peter start the book promising not to break each other’s hearts. By the end, Peter declares, “If we’re so guarded, it’s not going to be anything. . . . Let’s go all in.” How did the desire not to break each other’s hearts lead them to do just that? What does it mean to you to go all in on a relationship?
After obsessing about Peter and Genevieve for the whole book, Lara Jean finally realizes that “Peter wasn’t the one who needed to get over Genevieve. It was me.” Discuss.
Once Peter and Lara Jean are in a real relationship vs. a fake one, they are more aware of how their feelings, insecurities, and moods affect each other. Why is that? What examples of this do you remember from the book? How have you seen similar things play out in real-life relationships?
